The data presented
here is extracted from UN-HABITAT's Global Urban Indicators database. The data
is drawn from different sources:
- Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS);
- Multiple Indicators Cluster Surveys (MICS);
- various national household surveys;
- and other statistical sources.
A more comprehensive tool UrbanInfo is available from UN-HABITAT at
guo@unhabitat.org. The UrbanInfo software package contains analysis tools
and information on several topics including housing, demography, communication,
energy, economy, education, health, nutrition and gender, disaster, crime,
migration, income inequalities and transport.
