This is a good report i wish there were more case studies form Sub Saharan Africa. The world needs to solve the slum problem. Nations and NGOS should be willing to devote more resources and capital to dealing with this issue once for all the MDG 2020 vision will unfortunately not be reached Steven Apell
We need to get African policy makers to read more Steve Akuffo
It is a great idea, I am trying to design en ecovillage pilot project to replace slums (villa miseria) in Argentina but it could be possible in other country too. Could I get some advise from UN-HABITAT on how to start such a project? andres garcia
This is excellent. We need our Subsaharan African leaders to read these things. We actually run a company that uses renewable raw materials to build houses. No felling of trees etc. These people could be contacted. Dr. Idris Dag-Ellams (Canada) Dr. Dag-Ellams

It is really an up-to-date resource on the current state of human settlements most especially the cities.
